ways to approach performing music and playing the flute.
You will have the opportunity to perform in class and learn
from others who perform, learn new teaching methods, and
even play some of Gary Schocker’s music with the composer!
People who have attended
classes and workshops led by Gary Schocker have consistently
been impressed by his broad knowledge of all the aspects
of flute performance. Mr. Schocker has a special way of
teaching that helps him connect with his students in a unique
way. He analyzes each student’s playing and offers suggestions
to help ease the technique and bring the music to life.

The Flute Society
of Kentucky will present its annual festival at Campbellsville
University on January 15-16, 2010. The event will
feature guest artist Brad Feller, and competitions for middle
school, high school, collegiate and young artist levels,
as well as a special concerto competition. Please visit

The Flute Society of Kentucky is a non-profit educational
organization whose membership is open to all flutists,
teachers and supporters of flute music. We are glad that
you are interested in joining an organization that wishes
to further the study and performance of the flute in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky. Annual membership is free! Benefits
include the Flute Society of Kentucky quarterly newsletter,
Flute Keys, discounted admission to FSK events, as well
as the opportunity to learn of the exciting flute activities
happening all around Kentucky. The FSK annual membership
period runs from September 1 to August 31. FSK activities
are funded through conference fees, grants, and other
